University Career Festival: New Horizons for Students
On November 27, 2024, one of the largest events of the year, the Career Festival, took place at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. This event brought together about 80 employers and provided a unique platform for interaction between students, graduates and business representatives.
At the opening ceremony of the event, the rector of the university, Aimagambetov Yerkara Balkaraevich, made an introductory speech, noting the importance of creating such platforms for career growth and strengthening ties between the university and the professional community. Representatives of the Employment Center also made welcoming remarks, emphasizing the importance of supporting young people in their professional development.

Within the framework of the Career Festival -2024 were held:
- Presentations by leading companies, where employers talked about their organizations, employment opportunities and internships.
- Panel discussions where topical issues of the labor market, digitalization and trends in modern professions were discussed.
- A debate on the topic: "The realities of a career: a dream job or a job in a specialty", in which students exchanged views on what is more important in building a successful career: following their hobby or professional realization in their specialty. The arguments turned out to be vivid and motivating, inspiring the participants to look at their career path from a new angle.
- Resume contest, which was attended by the most active students.
The culmination of the event was the awarding of the most distinguished in the nominations:
- "Debut of the year: the start of successful cooperation" – JSC "Qarmet" for the beginning of partnerships.
- "Strategic Partner of the Year" – QazTechna LLP for its contribution to the development of corporate cooperation.
- "Golden Career Start" is an educational program "Physical culture and sports management", according to the results of the Atameken rating in terms of "Salary".
- "Leader of employment" is an educational program "Economics", according to the results of the Atameken rating on the indicator "Percentage of employment".
- "The standard of professional interaction" – the Department of Finance for creating an effective model of interaction with employers.
- "Career Path of the Year" – Ekaterina Yuryevna Olkhovskaya, graduate of the Law School, Director of KRG CORPORATION LLP,
- "Business card of a professional" – Nikita Andreevich Bakulin, a student of the Log-21-2 group, winner of the resume writing competition.
- "Voices of career Opportunities" – the winner of the debate is the Birlik club.
Special attention should be paid to the active participation of employers, who noted the high level of training of university students and expressed interest in further cooperation.
The "Career Festival 2024" has become not only a meeting place for the search for new opportunities, but also a real celebration, a vivid confirmation of the desire of our university to unite talented youth with the real sector of the economy.
