«Organizational and applied problems of road safety in Republic of Kazakhstan»
On October 1, 2019, a scientific seminar was held at the Faculty of Law with the participation of scientists from Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor Talgat Khanov and Doctor of Law, Professor Kairat Bakishev, on the topic “Problems of ensuring road safety in Russia and Kazakhstan Karaganda Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives presented the results of their research in the framework of a grant project, the purpose of which was to analyze the legislation in the field of criminal liability for transport crimes, to develop measures aimed at improving it. The seminar was attended by Dean of the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg State University of Economics Nadezhda Krainova, Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Oksana Chabukiani, teachers of the Department and students of the Faculty of Law. The participants in the discussion were able to discuss the common criminal law problems in this area in Russia and Kazakhstan, and outline ways to solve them.
