On December 2 and 3, 2017, students of Karaganda Economic University took an active part in the eighth final event of the Astana Innovations Challenge project, launched by the Astana City Akimat, Astana Innovations JSC, MOST Business Incubator and Astana Financial Center.
One of the teams of the university, the "Brainstorm" team won the third prize place following the results of the «Fintechstars» competition, received a certificate and a prize worth KZT 100 000 kzt. The winners were the team of our university: Khmeleva Ekaterina, Oborina Karina, Kushnarenko Olga - gr. F-32; Iristayev Nizamiddin - gr. Mn-12; Kim Constantine - gr. Mn-31; Tileubek Abylaikhan - гр. Yu-42. In addition, the founder and development director of the company "Wooppay" - Doroshenko A. agreed to work with the team for possible investment of their project (subject to bringing the business idea to the real product).
We wholeheartedly wish the "Brainstorm" team not to stop on their laurels and go only forward!
The Department “Social work and the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan” held a round table devoted to Day of First President of Kazakhstan.
During the event, students and teachers discussed the role of the First President of Kazakhstan in establishing an independent state. Special attention was paid to the importance of implementation of government programs in education and science, initiatives in the formation of an intellectual nation and entry of Kazakhstan into the ranks of developed countries in the world.
The roundtable participants noted the international community has recognized the contribution of the leader of Kazakhstan in nuclear disarmament, peacekeeping and emphasized that Kazakhstan, thanks to its wise foreign and domestic policy, has always advocated a peaceful solution to any geopolitical disputes and problems.
Department of Finance, Taxation and Insurance on November 30th, 2017 was held a round table on the topic "Trends and prospects for the development of the EAEU in the context of interaction between the tax and insurance sectors of Kazakhstan and Russia" in conjunction with professors KubSAU - Ulibina L.K., Tupakova N.N. and Okorokova O.A.
The event was opened by the head of the department, Doctor of Economics, Professor A. Sembekov. with the report "Review of the financial and economic situation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of the EAEU in the new economic conditions", Doctor of Economics, Professor Ulybina L.K. - with the report "Assessment of development trends of insurers within the framework of the Eurasian Union". Also students of the specialty "Finance" made speeches on the crypto currency and the need for universal declaring of individuals. Based on the results of the round table, recommendations were proposed for improving the tax and insurance spheres.
On November 16, in the conference hall of the House of Friendship was held the round table of the Scientific Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda region “Building a Society of Universal Labor”, in the work of which took part a member of the SEG, Professor Klishina M.V. and students of gr. OPEC-31k.
Within the framework of the roundtable, issues were discussed to improve the quality of human capital in the framework of the Program for Modernization of the Public Consciousness, the problems of employment of graduates of higher education institutions and colleges.
The round table was attended by members of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Regional Assembly, chairmen of ethnocultural associations, teachers and students of universities and colleges of the city.
Head of the Secretariat of the ANC of the Karaganda region Yerlan Kusain emphasized the importance of the work of ethno-cultural associations in the formation of a society of universal labor in the context of implementing the Program of Modernization of Public Consciousness.
Also, in the second part of the round table discussion was held about the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and about the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Speakers and participants supported the bill. At the same time, they were given a number of proposals and recommendations.
On the 25th of November, 2017 was the Olympiad focused on Informatics between students of high schoolof Karaganda city, conducted by the Information system department.
According to the results of Olympiad in informatics, medal places were taken in the following way.
Roxana Voicu-Dorobanțu – an Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. of the Faculty of International Business and Economics of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) delivered an online - lecture on the 29th of November, 2017 on the topic “Business Intelligence Tools” in the specialized audience of the educational television for students of the Karaganda Economic University.
25 of November 2017 at 11: 00 for students of Tur-32, Rd-24c, was organized and carried out the training at one of the restaurants of the fast food chain KFC.
The class was conducted in the framework of the discipline of «restaurant and hotel business» with the aim to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practice.
The restaurant staff had an interesting and informative tour of restaurant kitchen, got acquainted with technological processes of cooking, storage of food products, their processing, and organization of the billet and food preparation station processes.
The students learned a lot about methods of cooking format fast food, and were able to try a delicious lunch which was provided by the employees of the company absolutely for free.
Chair of tourism and restaurant business congratulates students of specialty «Tourism» group Tour-12 Bogdanov Pavel and Kurganskaya Elizaveta with an honorary 1st place in the contest «Fair of business ideas» within the framework of the project «School of young entrepreneur» Unified program of support of entrepreneurship «business Road map 2020». The competition was attended by 20 projects and the project of Pavel and Elizaveta’s business plan candy store «sugar» was voted the best. The competition was held on 25 November 2017 Chamber of entrepreneurs of Karaganda region.
21 November 2017, the Senior lecturer of «Tourism and catering» chair Flek A.A. took part in the Republican scientific-practical seminar «Implementation of interactive technology — factor of sustainable tourism development» with the report «Main trends in development of e-sales in tourism» (certificate). The seminar was held at the University «Turan-Astana» (Astana).
The seminar was attended by the Chairman of the Committee of tourism industry of the Ministry of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murzamadieva M S., rector of the University «Turan-Astana» Dzhaparova G. A., representatives of regional administrations, representatives of tourist agencies and leading tour operators of the country, teachers of Universities training specialists in sphere of tourism, undergraduate and graduate students.
The Department "Accounting and auditing" held a open Day for graduates of the school-Lyceum №101, school №31 of Temirtau, Karaganda Bank College and College of Economics, business and law KEU. Students and schoolchildren took part in the quest, during which they visited the Palace of culture of students, the Museum, the library, attended the theater "Inspiration", the laboratory of chemistry Department, got acquainted with the work of structural divisions, material and technical base of the University. At each destination they waited for the volunteers, who were told about the University and student life and asked to perform various tasks. Graduates had the opportunity to meet with the Dean of the faculty of accounting and finance, candidate of Economics, assistant Professor of Serikova G. S., head of the Department "Accounting and audit", candidate of Economics, Professor Madiyeva K. S., lecturer and members of Student Council.
December 3, 2017 the meeting of rector Aimagambetov E.B. took place with professors Tupakova N.N., Ulybina L.K., Okorokova O.A. and students of KubSAU. The arrival of Russian scientists and students of KubSAU is the next return visit and was implemented within the framework of the international cooperation of the departments "Finance, Taxation and Insurance (KEU)" and "Finance (KubSAU)". The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, during the conversation the Russians noted the high material and technical base, the innovative approaches used in the educational process, the good preparation and interest of students and undergraduates of the KEU. In the period from November 27 to December 2, it was held the events with the participation of professors and students of the KubSAU and the Department of Finance, Taxation and Insurance (KEU) (lectures, practical classes, round tables). It is necessary to note the desire of both sides to continue further cooperation within the academic mobility of teachers, students and undergraduates.
