On October 25, 2023, the anticorruption forum "Your "No!" was held, organized by the Department of Youth Policy of the Karaganda region together with the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in the Karaganda region. Within the framework of the forum, the results of the regional anti-corruption video contest "Your "No!" matters" were summed up.
According to the results of the competition, the work of a student of the Faculty of Finance, Logistics and Digital Technologies, Chairman of the Student Parliament of the University Eginbai Muhamedkaly became the best of 65 videos. Prizes and diplomas were awarded by Deputy Akim of the region Kusayyn E.B. and First Deputy Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in the Karaganda region Arystanbekov A.A.
The main purpose of the event is to instill intolerance to corruption among young people, to talk about methods of fighting corruption and to explain what the consequences of corrupt actions are. Holding such events arouses genuine public interest in the problem of combating corruption.
In such a creative format, the youth expressed their opinion about the negative consequences of corruption situations, about anti-corruption measures and the problems of their implementation.
Thanks to the initiatives of young people, new ideas and technologies are being put into practice, new views on solving urgent problems are emerging.

Currently, the problems of ecology and environmental conservation are increasingly important and relevant in society. On November 21, 2023, an intellectual game "I am an ecologist" was held at our university.
School students were happy to take part in interesting contests and quizzes of an Intellectual game dedicated to ecology and environmental protection. The event was attended by more than 100 students from 24 schools and 4 colleges of the city of Karaganda and the Karaganda region.
The game "I am an ecologist" promotes the development of logical thinking, improving communication skills and the ability to work in a team. These skills are important, especially when solving complex environmental problems that often require collaboration and teamwork.
As part of the implementation of the scientific project "Criminal law and criminological measures to ensure safety during mining or construction work" IRN AR 19675171 in the period from October 22 to 30, 2023, a business trip of members of the research group Abieva E.S. (Master of law, senior lecturer) took place and Mazhit I.B. (Master's student) in Zhezkazgan.
In accordance with the implementation plan of the grant project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, meetings were held with the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of JSC "Zhezkazgan University named after O.A. Baikonurov", the General director of the corporation "Kazakhmys" Baynyazov Zh.T., the head of safety of the corporation "Kazakhmys" Daurykbaev M., the management of the construction organization LLP "Kazakhmys" Butkova T.N., chairman of the city court G. Satpayev S.T. Isabaev, chairman of the city court G. Zhezkazgan Shortanbaev Zh.B., Deputy head of the Investigation and Inquiry Department of the Police Department of the region Ulytau Zhampeisov S.A., the leadership of the district police department of Zhezkazgan Saduakasov A.S., the leadership of the city police Department ofSatpayev Mnaidarov A.R.
The participants of the research group conducted a survey of employees on the developed questionnaire for the organization of the safety of these types of work.
Also, statistical data on terminated criminal cases initiated under Article 277 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan were studied, regulatory documents regulating the safety of labor protection, the organization of safety of employees of mining and construction works of the corporation were studied.
In total, during the business trip, materials were collected and processed:
criminal cases – 5; court verdicts – 3; discontinued criminal case materials – 4; a survey was conducted of 10 employees of mining and construction enterprises, 15 investigators and interrogators, 4 judges.
On November 25, 2023, a subject Olympiad on the History of Kazakhstan was held among schoolchildren in the city of Karaganda at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The goal of the Olympiad was to identify and develop interest in the history of Kazakhstan, as well as to involve school students in the study of the history of Kazakhstan. In total, over 80 students from more than 20 schools took part in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was held in 2 stages: essay writing and an intellectual game. Based on the results of the Olympiad, the competition jury determined the winners:
I-place: Kairatov Azizkhan (School named after B. Momyshuly) and Rabatuly Islam (school № 48)
II place: Askarova Zarina (School named after Zh. Tashenova) and Abilova Laura (School-Lyceum named after A. Ermekov)
III place: Amanzhol Nurasyl (school № 25) and Tashkenbaeva Malika (Gymnasium № 97).

More than 70 state, private and public organizations of the region took part in the "Career Festival -2023", held on November 23 at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
Its main idea is to assist university graduates in determining their professional trajectory, employers in finding professional personnel for their company, informing students about vacancies and internship opportunities.
The Career Festival is a unique platform where students and graduates can meet with representatives of leading companies in the region in real life, discuss all their questions about working conditions, available vacancies, internship and internship opportunities.
For the first time, competitions were held within the framework of the festival in the following categories: "Top employee-graduate", "My business idea", "Best express interview".

So, on November 17, 2023, a training seminar "Hotel industry: today and tomorrow" was held for graduate students of the specialties "Tourism", "Restaurant business and hotel business", "International Relations". The seminar was conducted by Antonina Nosova, an invited specialist of the training department of the Reikartz hotel chain. Reikartz Grup Otel is an international hotel chain, the parent company of which is registered in the Republic of Turkey. It unites more than 80 hotel facilities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey, Sweden and Germany.
The agenda of the seminar included the following issues:
effective management of the hotel and sanatorium complex;
marketing and advertising in the hotel services market, as well as sales management;
material and technical equipment of the enterprises of the hotel complex;
effective personnel management in the hotel business;
improving the quality of the reception and accommodation service.
The main result of the seminar is the students' mastery of customer-oriented service settings and skills. This approach is based on the ability to solve the guest's question competently and promptly, in accordance with his expectations.
The current situation in the globalizing world draws our attention to the problem of preserving the unique spirituality and culture of our country. The change of political and economic systems has led to the destruction of the traditional system of values. Mastering the culture of interpersonal communication involves the assimilation of social, moral norms, principles and values. Only through the processes of socialization is it possible to transform social relations.
So, on November 15 of this year, an event called "Meeting of Generations" was held at our university, the purpose of which is to educate the spiritual culture of students, the formation of their sustained interest in aesthetic values.

The event began with a solemn speech by Vice-Rector for Social Affairs Almas Sabitula Orynbekov.
During the event, invited guests, the head of the Department of Socio-Political Disciplines and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, teachers of the Department, undergraduates made presentations on issues of spirituality and moral principles of man, maintaining stability and tolerance in modern society.
On November 2, 3 and 15, 2023, a meeting with graduates of 2024 studying under the state educational order was organized at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
At the meeting, the issues of sending young specialists (graduates) to work, the implementation of their personal distribution were discussed.
The university annually creates a commission for the distribution of young specialists and PhD doctors studying on the basis of a state educational order.
The director of the Career and Professional Development Center of the Department of Strategic Development Sagitova Zh.E. told the graduates that the distribution is carried out on the basis of the employer's application for upcoming employment and the retention of a vacant place until the arrival of a young specialist at the place of work. If there are no vacant jobs at the time of distribution, young specialists are sent by the distribution commissions to register as a job seeker at the Labor Mobility Center, directly to career centers at the place of residence, with the time spent on the register as unemployed in the period of working out. Young specialists who have completed their training this year arrive at the place of work in the direction no later than September 1.
Also, the students were given explanations in which cases it is possible to release, delay from working out.
During the meeting, the graduates had the opportunity to get answers to all their questions.
From October 31 to November 3, the "Management Week" was held at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. This traditional event of the Department of Management and Innovation is timed to the "International Manager's Day" and is focused on the development of managerial competencies among students.
The events were attended by students of the University, College of Economics, Business and Law, as well as students of schools in the city of Karaganda and the city of Temirtau.
As part of the Management Week , the following events were held:
- events in the form of "KoperTalks";
- educational workshops and trainings;
- The Maslow Pyramid Mystery quest game;
- "Self-Government Day".
"Management Week" has become a good platform for the collaboration of schoolchildren, students, faculty, as well as representatives of the region's business. The events that took place were aimed at revealing the scientific and creative potential of students.
At the end of the management week, the organizers of the event received only positive feedback from the participants.
