A meeting of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on the basis of Kazpotrebsoyuz University
On February 24, 2024, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted a general meeting of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic "Problematic issues of confirmation and assignment of qualifications of university graduates" with the participation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek. The national qualifications system is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the labor market and the personnel training system, which determines the relevance of the topic of this event.
Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek made a report during the meeting. He reported on the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Higher Education and Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, on the development of the system of continuing education, on expanding the availability of higher education, and elaborated on the national model of engineering personnel training.
During the field meeting, problematic issues and prospects for the development of the National Qualification System were discussed, namely:

- Higher and postgraduate education in the National Qualifications System;
- Implementation of digital solutions in the National Qualifications System;
- Recognition of professional qualifications;
- Knowledge economy: the role of universities in the development of human capital;
- A mechanism for recognizing learning outcomes obtained through non-formal education;
- Synchronization of educational programs of universities of Kazakhstan with the National Qualification system.
The moderator was the President of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rector of the University "Turan" Alshanov Rahman Alshanovich. The meeting was attended by Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ordabaev Olzhas Temirbekovich, Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yeshenkulov Talgat Ilyasovich, Managing Director – Director of the Department of Human Capital Development of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Beisenbenov Azamat Amangeldinovich, Director General of JSC "Republican Scientific and Methodological Center for the Development of Technical Vocational Education and Qualification" Halmuratov Begaly Orazalievich, as well as heads of more than 105 higher educational institutions of the country.
The event became an excellent platform for the exchange of experience in the field of interaction between the labor market and education. Following the meeting, a Resolution of the general meeting was adopted on the implementation of topical issues of confirming and assigning qualifications to university graduates, developing regional maps of new professions, improving the regulatory framework, synchronizing the register of educational programs, updating professional standards.
