«Hours of Integrity» and World Anti-Corruption Day
In Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, "Integrity Hours" were held in stages at all faculties and in student dormitories, organized in cooperation with the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption (Anti-Corruption Service) in the Karaganda region.
The following important issues were discussed at the meetings:
- Fighting corruption within the framework of the Anti - Corruption Policy Concept for 2022-2026;
- Principles of academic integrity as norms of behavior;
- Formation of an anti - corruption culture among young people;
- The role of every citizen in combating corruption and strengthening integrity.
On December 9, on the World Anti-Corruption Day, A.S. Orynbekov, a projector on social issues and youth policy, and university students were awarded diplomas for their great contribution to the development of anti-corruption education and anti-corruption culture. The awards were presented by the head of the Department of the Agency for Combating Corruption in the Karaganda region, S.N. Perov.
On this day, the university held open discussions and thematic meetings aimed at forming students' understanding of the importance of transparency, integrity and personal responsibility. The participants of the event stressed the importance of instilling high moral and ethical standards in young people as the basis for building an honest and fair society.
Such events contribute to the strengthening of anti-corruption values among young people and the development of an active civic position.
