In the period from April 24 to April 26, 2019, well-known scientists, members of the Law Faculty of the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Doctor of Law, Professor Damjan Korošec and Doctor of Law, Professor Janez Kranjс visited the Karaganda Economic University. The purpose of their visit is the establishment of international cooperation between universities in the field of education and science, negotiations on the organization of academic mobility of students and teachers, guidance and advice on master’s theses, on-line lecturing, etc. The University of Ljubljana is the oldest university in the country, with more than 64,000 students, and more than 5,600 teachers, researchers, and other employees. One of the largest universities in Europe: 22 faculties, 3 academies of arts and a college. According to ARWU (Shanghai), Times and Webometrics ratings, the University of Ljubljana is among the 500 best universities in the world and is a member of various European associations in the field of education. Also included in the association of universities in Europe "Utrecht network." Since 2003, the University of Ljubljana has been a full member of the European Aviation University (EUU). Professor Damjan Korošec and Professor Janez Kranjс met with the University Rector, Doctor of Economics, Professor E.B.Aimagambetov and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and New Technologies, candidate of Economic Sciences R.O. Bugubaeva. During the meeting, the prospects for further cooperation between universities, the possibility of teaching students of the Karaganda University at the University of Ljubljana, the exchange of students and teachers in the framework of academic mobility were touched upon. The guests expressed the hope that relations between universities will continue to develop, become successful and fruitful.
15 staff members from Karaganda Economic University among the top management had completed an advanced training course on further professional advanced training program "Educational Management at the University 4.0" with a total of 72 academic hours within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between Karaganda Economic University (Kazakhstan) and National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (Russia) from May, 14 to May, 22 in 2018. Participants were given certificates of a standard pattern upon completion of the successful completion of the course.
