Faculty of Finance, logistics and digital technologies has been working in the market of educational services since 1966. it has Trained more than 40 thousand specialists working in all spheres of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad (CIS countries). The history of the Faculty of Finance, logistics and digital technologies begins in 1968. It was formed on the basis of the faculty of Economics, acting at that time the main unit of the Karaganda Cooperative Institute of the Centrosoyuz.
At different times of the existence of Faculty of Finance, logistics and digital technologies deans were: Akimbekov S. A. (1966-1968), I. I. Kharchenko (1968-1970), Chumakov Z. S. (1970-1981), Kuanyshev S. S. (gg 1981-1988, and 1990-1997), Zhakupov G. S. (1988-1989), Karasholakov S. A. (1989-1990), Almajano E. A. (1995-2005), Nakipova G. E.(2005-2006), Kudaibergenova S. K. (2006-2008), Nakipova G. E. (2009-2017 years). Since September 2017, the Dean of the Faculty of Finance, logistics and digital technologies is Ph. D., associate Professor Serikova G. S.

Entering the University, yesterday's students acquire a new status-a student. At our faculty as well as in the whole University all necessary measures for successful adaptation of students in the new environment are taken. Dean and curators of the first year at any time ready to answer any questions students have. The peculiarity of the first year of study is that during this period students study mainly General humanitarian disciplines. This allows us to strengthen the base of the humanitarian worldview, on the basis of which the profiling knowledge will be built.

Outside of study, students lead an equally active life. Students of our faculty take an active part in various social events, sports competitions.

About the faculty

Economics was the only faculty in 1966 and was taken as the basis of the Karaganda Cooperative Institute of the Centrosoyuz of the USSR. The faculty included departments of Political Economy, Higher Mathematics, economic Geography and Economic history, Foreign languages, History of the CPSU, Commodity Science of Industrial and Food Products, and Physical Education.

In 1970, he was the first to graduate 190 highly qualified trade economists, who made a huge contribution to the development of consumer cooperation in the republic, becoming the organizers of cooperative production, procurement of agricultural products and trade in rural areas. Among them, H. Ashlyaev-now Chairman of the Board of Kazpotrebsoyuz; E. Aliakparov-worked as chairman of the Pavlodar Regional Consumer Union and deputy Chairman of the Board of Kazpotrebsoyuz; E. Kadyrbayev-worked as deputy chairman of the Board of the Pavlodar Regional Consumer Union, director of the cooperative college.

Graduates of the faculty are also the rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor E. B. Aimagambetov; the vice-rector of the University for Academic Affairs and Strategic Development, Ph. D. in Economics, Professor R. O. Bub'baeva.

Graduates are employed in all economic spheres in the country and abroad, work in the offices of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government, in ministries, departments, and companies.

The main backbone of the faculty, through which educational, methodological, research, and educational processes are implemented, consists of the heads of departments, the chairmen of the scientific and methodological Bureau, the Council of Curators, and the Committee on Youth Affairs. The teaching staff of the faculty consists of experienced teachers. According to the results of the competition "Advanced Faculty", which was held for several years at the University, the Faculty of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship was repeatedly awarded this title.

The presence of a highly qualified team of teachers and thanks to their purposeful work, there are competitive advantages of the educational programs implemented at the faculty: "Economics" ("Economics and Management"), "Management" ("Project and Innovation Management"), "State and Local Management", "International Relations", "World Economy" ("International Business"), "Ecology" ("Environmental Management"), "Evaluation". In recent years, all the educational programs of the faculty according to the "General Rating of Universities" are among the top ten in Kazakhstan. According to the educational programs "Economics", "Management", "State and Local Government", specialists are trained in a three-level system: bachelor's degree, master's degree, PhD. The teaching is conducted by well-known professors and associate professors in the country, who have been retrained in leading research centers and universities of the near and far abroad.

The golden chronicle of the university includes the names of graduates-athletes: Abylaykhan Zhusupov – world champion among youth in 2013, winner of the Junior Olympics in 2014, winner of the gold medal of the Asian Youth Championship in 2014. The athlete also received silver at the Asian Senior Championships in 2017, and bronze at the World Championships in 2017 and 2019. He competed in the men's welterweight division at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He is one of the leaders of the national team. He won a license for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo in the weight category up to 69 kilograms. Due to the downtime in amateur boxing competitions associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the boxer received permission from the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan to fight in the professional ring against the experienced Meshak Mwankemwa from Tanzania, who has already held more than 30 fights. The fight in the first middleweight division lasted all six scheduled rounds. Abylaykhan won this fight by a decision of judges.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOUNG AND PERSPECTIVE EXPERTS FROM 22 YEARS OLD OF THE COMPANY'S INITIAL AND AVERAGE LEVELS POSITION:

1. Learn a foreign language, even spoken. English is now mandatory in any case, but it is advisable to know the second one - perhaps German, French or some other.
2. Raise the qualification - pass trainings, seminars on the chosen specialty. HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY PASS AN INTERVIEW

Conduct informational exploration
If we rephrase a well-known aphorism, then we can say: who owns the information, controls the situation at the interview. Before you go to the office of organization, you should find out:
• with whom will you discuss: with the chief, the head of the personnel department or his ordinary employee;
• interview format (group or individual, question-answer or self-presentation);
• dress code and things that you need to have with you (documents, gadgets, etc.);

Interviewing is nervous. You can forget what your name is, not to mention the demonstration of business qualities.

The Research Institute of Economic and Legal Studies was formed by Order of the Rector of the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz No. 42/1-p dated October 1, 2010.

 

The purpose of the scientific research institute of ELS is the integration of scientific activity and the educational process at all levels of higher and postgraduate education, improving the quality of fundamental and applied research in the field of economics and law.

 

The main objectives of the research institute of ELS:

- increasing the level of scientific content of the educational activities of the university, the quality of training of graduates;

- high-quality implementation of research work and participation in regional and republican research programs in economic and legal areas with the involvement of the scientific potential of the leading departments of the university;

- improving the organization of research activities of the teaching staff, undergraduates and university students and the implementation of their scientific achievements, scientific and pedagogical experience;

- establishing cooperation with related research institutions of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, for the successful implementation of work on complex problems, as well as for testing the results of scientific research;

- intensification of scientific activity of the university faculty through the involvement of international, interuniversity and university conferences, round tables, scientific seminars on pressing problems of economics and law with the invitation of leading scientists and the public;

- improving the quality of scientific publications, providing the possibility of publication in journals with a high impact factor.

The main functions of the research institute of ELS:

Research work of students

Scientific research work of students (SRWS) – systematic activities of university students, based on the collection, processing and synthesis of scientific material through the use of accumulated theoretical and practical foundation, the individual characteristic of thinking and working.
Members of the Students' Scientific Societies KEUK are creative and most capable research students. In 2022  the number of members of the SRS was 615 students.
Student Research Society (SRS) of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is a voluntary organization that brings together university students interested in research work.
The main purpose of SRS is to promote quality improvement of personnel training, the conservation of scientific potential and creation of conditions for the development of scientific creativity of young people learning, integrating it into a scientific and educational space by intensifying scientific - research activity of students.
At the moment, the students themselves are the initiators of many scientific, discussion events not only at the level of university, but also inter-university level. PRIORITY AREAS OF RESEARCH

Politics in the selection of areas of research in KEUK focused on the sustainable development of the research activities of the University through effective integration of education and science, which, in turn, implies an increase of research capacity of the University, the creation of a multi-channel system of research funding in departments, integration of scientific research and educational process.

Top-priority goals of research activities of  research work and RWS KEUK are:

- Patterns of modern development of the world economy and Kazakhstan, on this basis development of recommendations for socio-economic modernization and the formation of a competitive national economy;

- Features of development of monetary and financial system in the context of globalization and the formation of effective model for interaction between elements of the monetary and financial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the global financial system;

- Environmental economics and environmental protection, challenges and prospects for sustainable development in Kazakhstan in terms of integration into the world economy;

- The competitiveness of the industrial and innovative productions of Kazakhstan in the international goods and service markets in the context of regional integration processes;
