May 30, 2017 Teachers of the SR and SPD chair at the Information Resources Center (library) of KEUK held a round table dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions.
Participants of the round table were teachers, university students and students of the College of Economics, Business and Law.
25 may 2017 in the Central Park of Karaganda held an event dedicated to the last call for graduates of schools of Karaganda.

On May 12, 2017, at 14:00, in 105 auditoriums, an educational and methodological seminar was held, in which the faculty of the university took part. The seminar was conducted by the senior lecturer of the department of world economy and international relations Syzdykbekov E.S. on the theme "The Vienna model of teaching. Key issues ".
The use of the Viennese model of teaching presupposes the introduction of innovative teaching methods used by Austrian colleagues in the educational process. This work is carried out by a group of teachers of the KEU participating in the CACTLE project implemented by the Erasmus + program and supervised by the Vienna University of Economics and Business (Austria).
The seminar was held at a high methodological level and aroused genuine interest, as well as questions from the audience. The university has always developed with the times, using the most advanced, innovative technologies in the field of education.
On April 1-10, 2017, Smagulova Zhanara, a student of the MO-42 group, took part in the 1st European competition for the best research work among students of higher, secondary specialized schools and pupils of schools in Europe and Asia as part of the International Scientific Forum of Young Scientists "East-West". 30 countries took part in the forum. Scientific project of Smagulova Zhanary "The methods of popularization of the EEU in the youth environment" won in the nomination "The best work in the section". Zhanara was awarded a diploma, the project's scientific leader, assistant professor of the department "World Economy and International Relations" Vidritskaya N.I. - a letter of thanks of the organizers of the First International Scientific Forum of Young Scientists "East-West".

23.01-1.04.2017 students of the specialty "World Economy" and "International Relations" Nugumanov U. and Smagulova Zh. passed industrial practice in the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Despite the insignificant practical experience, the students were able to apply their knowledge gained at the high professional level in the framework of the university and thus were honored to participate in the signing ceremony of the Convention between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Ireland on avoiding double taxation.
As part of the practice, students not only applied theoretical knowledge, but also got acquainted with the basics of corporate culture, mastering the skills of work in the team.

In April 26-27, 2017 the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrobsoyuz held the International Student Meeting "The New Generation. New energy. A new era." The motto of the meeting were the words "Youth. Science. Innovation".
The purpose of the meeting: the development of students' science, identification and support of talented youth.
The tasks of the meeting: increasing communication between students of different countries; the improvement of the university innovative environment; the formation and expansion of the base of student research and innovation projects; the expansion and deepening of the links between research, business and government structures.
The work of the meeting covered 5 main events.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern World and Youth: a Vision and Dialectics of Development" was held. The conference was attended by more than 400 students, undergraduates, graduate students and doctoral students.
The 40 articles from the CIS and far abroad countries were received for consideration. The representatives of Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy and Belarus performed speeches at the plenary session. There were 7 sections with 6 subsections in various scientific areas.
Within each section and subsection, the best speakers were identified, who received first, second and third degree diplomas, the diplomas according to five nominations: "The Best Speaker", "The Best Presentation", "The Best Argument", "New Vision", "Competence and Creativity". As a result, the compilations of the conference materials were prepared: the first volume with the printed format (310 pages in a volume), the second volume of electronic format (700 pages).
