International Research Center "Olympus" in Moscow has organized and held a competition "The best scientific article- 2016." among the universities of the CIS countries. The competition was attended by representatives of our university: Director of the Research Institute of Economics and Legal Studies, Professor Khanov T.A., the staff of the Research Institute. senior lecturers A.V. Bashirov and Syzdyk B.K, student of the Faculty of Business and Law specialty "Jurisprudence" Orazmetov N.S. They took 1st place in this prestigious international competition.

The 14th of December 2016 year as part of celebration the 25th Independence Republic of Kazakhstan “The 25th Star’s Day” library and study’s TV centre KEU were next events:
1. The Round table has name “ Astana – strategy of success” participation with Alpysbayev A. – deputy of Maslykhat of Temirtau, Narynov E., Zheksenbay N. – young poet-bards, students and employees of library and TV centre. Participant and visitors of The Round table were discussing actual questions of history of becoming and progressing sovereign state, historical role Nation’s Leader Nursultan Nazarbayev in growth of Independent Kazakhstan.
2. Competetion essay “Guarantees of Home – in business of President” among students of college and students of university with a gift that is bestowed diplomas 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree.
3. In the Reading hall of library was showing film “Phenomenon of N.Nazarbayev”.
4. In the library’s hall was photo exhibition “Astana in my heart”, those photos of students of university.
5. On Info kiosk of the library seems presentation “Astana- heart of our Home”.
From 21st of November 2016 y. in the library were acting bookish-illustrative exhibitions: “Nazarbayev – human and politic” and “Kazakhstan’s way- from stability-through modernization-to prosperity”.

On December 20 in the Karaganda economic university of Kazpotrebsoyuz was carried out the round table on the subject "Consumer protection".
Participation in the round table were representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, students and teachers of the department "Economics and Management" and "Marketing and Logistics."
The sides exchanged views on existing problems in this matter. In particular, participants considered the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Protection of Consumers' Rights". Students provided the reports and the presentations. Representatives of business shared the experience with students. All participants of a round table have noted importance of this action as fruitful platform for exchange of experience and knowledge in the sphere to consumer protection.
From 1 to December 15, 2016 PhD students M.Ayaganova, A.Kernebayev, N.Kuttybayeva, Zh.Muratbekova of the Karaganda Economic University of Kazpotrebsoyuz had been passing foreign scientific training in the leading European Universities and scientific organizations, such as: the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), Sofia University named after St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), Research Institute of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe ( Germany).
PhD candidate's presented the results of research works to the foreign scientific leaders, questions discussed on dissertation researches. PhD candidate's took an active part in a roundtable discussion "The development of the hi-tech enterprises", which was carried out with the joint work of Technical university of Sofia and KEU, was a participant of a plenary session of the X-th International Youth Scientific Conference "Technical science. Industrial management", it was organized for PhD candidate's, post-doctoral candidates and young scientists from around the world, participated in a research seminar on "Steps of contract enforcement: The Lawyer's Guide for the Applied Economist", which was held on the basis of Institute of a research of Eastern and Southeast Europe.
By results of a scientific training, all doctoral candidates have received positive reviews from the foreign scientific consultants.
Students and undergraduates of the department of information systems participated in the I International youth school - conference "Information technologies and modeling of processes in basic and applied research", which sostoyalas15-17 December 2016. School-conference was organized by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, together with the Astrakhan State Architecture and Construction University.
The purpose of the school conference - increasing the effectiveness of innovation in solving the urgent problems of our time, as well as providing an interdisciplinary symposium for young scientists, engineers and teachers to discuss the latest trends and practical problems arising from the development and use of information technology and modeling techniques.
Students and undergraduates presented their reports on-line.
On 9 December held a round table in which have taken part student of group SW-32 Shataeva Nazim in Astana. The participants of the Round table "Development of alternative boarding schools of medical social services to persons with mental illness and mental disorders" — the representatives of Executive and legislative authorities, heads and specialists of healthcare and social development, government agencies, representatives of consumers of mental health services, research centres and universities, heard and discussed the reports and communications on the issue. The organizers of this project was the NGO "ASRU" — NGO "Association of social workers, disabled people and volunteers" supported by a Grant from the Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan.
After the event, the roundtable participants visited the exhibition "I DECIDE — I LIVE in" based on real stories of people with disabilities. Exhibition of Bulgarian authors Hope Georgieva (NAD) and Yana Burer Tavanier is carried out in the framework of the "Next step" Centre Bulgaria-for-profit Law (BCNL) with the support of Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan. The exhibition consisted of 16 visual blocks of text that tell the real stories of people with mental health problems, whose life changes for the better after the adoption of the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities. "I solved = I live in" was shown in many countries; it is highly relevant for Kazakhstan, where people with mental health disorders remain one of the most socially vulnerable groups of the population.
Department of "Ecology and evaluation" on the eve of the International Exhibition "EXPO-2017" December 10, 2016 held a workshop with the participation of regional representation "Coalition for a" green economy "and the development of G-Global». Our guests are: Executive Director of representation "Coalition for a" green economy "and the development of G-GLOBAL» in Karaganda region Kabdrakhmanov Arailym Izbasarovna, representatives of the partners of the department visited the exhibition of crafts school "New items from the garbage basket"; We met with a magnificent collection of national costumes of the peoples of the world, demonstrated by participants Etnoteatra DEs. Annually held on December 12, Customs Day recognizes the role of custom officials and agencies in maintaining border security. This year, the customs authorities of the country celebrated 25 years. Department of general legal and special disciplines organized a trip to the Department of State Revenue of the Karaganda region for the students of specialty "Customs" and the College of Business, Economics and Law. Students with lecturers Syzdykova S.A. and Shatirishvili N.T. visited the Customs Clearance Center. The head of one of the DSR units Akbeev M.K. said about the activities of the customs service. In the 25 years of the customs authorities of Kazakhstan have come a long way of development: the number of customs officers increased, improved technical support of department.
