KEU students win at Startup Weekend 2019

October 12-13, 2019, the US Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan together with Nazarbayev University on the basis of Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov organized a competition for startup projects StartUp Weekend 2019 as part of the TECH CENTRAL ASIA program.
The international Central Asian startup development program TECH CENTRAL ASIA aims to help aspiring entrepreneurs, students, innovators and inventors who are interested in launching their own startups, building a sustainable business and its further development.
The main objective of the competition was to teach students how to create and run a business, in finding opportunities to enter international markets.
The event was attended by more than 100 participants from higher educational institutions of the Karaganda region, which were formed in 26 teams. The number of student teams that reached the final was 9, among which were the teams of our university. Projects of students of the VT-31 group Bulekbaeva Zhibek and Myrzataev Beksultan were among the winners. They got the opportunity to go through the two-month acceleration program of Nazarbayev University and speak at Demo Day in the city of Nur Sultan.

Competition for the selection of initiative students and teachers to participate in the promotion of TSIP technology

On October 9, 2019, at the Dostyk Coworking Center, the employees of the Research Institute of ELS organized and held a competition to select initiative students and teachers to participate in the promotion of TSIP technology (theory of solving inventive problems) in the Republic of Kazakhstan. TSIP technology is associated with the promotion of modern methodologies, innovative technologies and project management tools, the formation of a professionally functioning market for consulting and business educational (postgraduate) services.
During the stages of competitive selection, the following original ideas were put forward:
- cold room based quick conditioning;
- the possibility of using odors in the demonstration of food and others.
As a result of the competitive selection, a commission composed of the director of the Research Institute of ELS Khanov T.A. and the head of the laboratory of the Research Institute of ELS Bashirov A.V. recommends the following students as candidates from KEU:

4. Tursynova A.
The teacher Sarzhanov D.K. is recommended as a curator. (Department of Logistics and Marketing).
The interaction of the selected candidates and the curator on the promotion of TSIP in the Republic of Kazakhstan is supposed to be carried out with the president of the Kazakhstan Institute for Project Management Vladimir Zatolokin (Almaty).

Platinum lecture on “Provision of disabled people with technical rehabilitation means”

The KEUK Training Television Center hosted a “platinum” lecture by the chief specialist of the Department for Organization of Work with Disabled Persons and Veterans of the State Institution “Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the Karaganda Region” Nuksuyev E.E on the topic “Providing the disabled with technical rehabilitation equipment” for students of the educational program "Social Work".
The lecture analyzed the legal framework for providing disabled people with technical rehabilitation facilities, disclosed the role of social workers in medical and medical social institutions, as well as the activities of social workers in an individual program for the rehabilitation of disabled people

Assembly of people of Kazakhstan held a meeting in KEU

Assembly of people of Kazakhstan of Karaganda region held a meeting with students and teachers of KEU. The meeting was attended by the head of the organization Kusayyn E. B, Vice-rector for social Affairs of the University Abilov K. Zh, head of the Department of social work and Assembly of people of Kazakhstan Abdakimova M. K., teachers and students.
During the meeting, the issues of the current policy of the state, the progress of the Assembly and plans for further work were touched upon, as well as the extended meeting of The Association of chairs of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, which was held on September 24 at the Eurasian national University.L. N. Gumilyova.
At the end of the meeting, students asked questions, made suggestions about joint research activities.
