On the eve of the New Year holidays, volunteers visited orphanages and collected letters from children to Santa Claus. The campaign is held not for the first year, and during this time, benefactors have created a whole system. 13.12.2018 at the Karaganda economic University Kazpotrebsoyuz on the initiative of the faculty of business and law held a fair in the framework of the charity event "Magic in an envelope-2019". The staff of the University and students took an active part, prepared for the sale of handmade products and a variety of pastries. All proceeds will be used to purchase gifts specified in letters from orphanages and children from poor families. Also, teachers and students independently purchased gifts according to the wishes of the children in the letters. All gifts will be sent to the Lithuanian boarding school of osakarovsky district and the orphanage "KSU "Children's home "Tansholpan".
December 12, 2018 the department of commodity research and certification was held intellectual game "Best Standardizer". among the students of KSTU who studied under the program of academic mobility, students of KEU and KEBiP. The participants were divided into 3 teams, answered questions of the general education program and programs related to the future specialty. The game was held in 3 languages; following the results of the event, certificates and consolation prizes were distributed both for the participants and for the audience.

In KEUK held an Olympiad on History of Kazakhstan among students of schools in Karaganda and satellite cities (Temirtau, Saran, Topar). The Olympiad was held in 2 rounds. At the round table it was discussed that the independence day of Kazakhstan is the main national holiday in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is celebrated in Kazakhstan annually on December 16 - December 17. With the collapse of the USSR in 1991, the Union countries became a separate state. Among them was Kazakhstan. On December 16, 1991 the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan adopted the law "On independence and sovereignty of the state". Kazakhstan was the last among the countries of the USSR, which adopted the law on independence. This law, together with the Declaration of sovereignty of Kazakhstan adopted on October 25, 1990, strengthened the country of the Kazakh nation. Official recognition of Kazakhstan's independence was recognized by the United States of America, which was the first country overseas, followed by China, followed by the United Kingdom. This was recognized by Mongolia, France, Japan, South Korea, Iran and other States.
