On April 06, 2023, a meeting of representatives of the youth scientific community on the topic was held in Astana within the walls of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan: «Youth in science and technology commercialization», organized by JSC «Science Foundation». Representatives of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, in particular, members of the SMUS and the Technological Business Incubator «Coworking Center «Dostyk» took part in the diological platform.
During the meeting, reports were heard on such topical topics as: «Integration of science and business: opportunities and prospects for young people»; «Startups and technological entrepreneurship»; «Experience of involving young people in science»; «The role of students in the commercialization of the results of scientific activities of universities»; «On the activities of the Council of Young Scientists»; «Community of participants of the innovation ecosystem of Kazakhstan». In conclusion, the participants of the diological platform «Technology Commerzcialization Point» exchanged views and proposals for further scientific cooperation.
On April 12, the opening of the international exhibition "Education and career in the field of countering and legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and financing of terrorism" (AML/CFT) took place at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
The exhibition is attended by representatives of the International Educational and Methodological Center for Financial Monitoring (IUMCFM), universities of the International Network Institute (ISI) of Kazakhstan and Russia, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Financial Monitoring and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kazakhstan.
The participants of the round table "Development of joint scientific and educational projects and a unified educational space in the field of AML/CFT" discussed issues of cooperation between the universities of the ISI, exchanged experience in the implementation of professional educational programs of higher education in the field of AML/CFT between the universities of the ISI of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan.
Marina Sergeevna Shemyakina, Deputy Head of the Department for Coordination of Scientific and Educational Projects of the IUMCFM, spoke about the III International Olympiad on Financial Security and the development of the activities of the ISI in the field of AML/FT; informed the participants about the development of the activities of the International Network Institute in the field of AML/FT.
Olesya Yuryevna Trishina, Chief Specialist of the Department of Coordination of Scientific and Educational Projects, told about the introduction of the Graphus training system into the educational process of the higher educational institutions of the ISI.
The round table also discussed topical issues of the development of a unified educational space in the field of AML/CFT, a risk-based approach to combating money laundering and terrorist financing, etc.
An equally interesting program was prepared for schoolchildren participating in the exhibition. For them, speakers from the IUMCFM held an open interactive lecture on financial security. The topic is relevant, which caused a lot of questions from the students of Karaganda, who attended the lecture, to the speakers. The dialogue that ensued, the active discussion of the topic of the interactive lecture showed competence, critical thinking, the ability to predict various financial situations and find ways to solve them by Karaganda schoolchildren.
The Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilin is one of the recognized leaders of higher agricultural education in Russia, the largest center of science, education, and innovation in the Southern Federal District.
The long-term cooperation between the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and the Kuban State Agrarian University is implemented in the educational and research fields.
Assoc. Prof., Dr. sc. oec. Yelena Belkina is a Head of the State and Local Administration Department. In the framework of inbound academic mobility Yelena Belkina delivered a course of lectures on “Management of Rural Development” between March 28 – April 6, 2023. The guest lectures were attended by the interested students of all levels and teaching staff of the University.
The promising areas for further inter-university cooperation were discussed during the meetings with top management of the University.
On March 4, 2023, the annual Olympiad in Mathematics was held among students of grades 9-11 of general educational institutions on the basis of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz (information is indicated on the instagram @kafedra_vm_kuk).
151 participants from 15 educational institutions participated in the Olympiad: 64 participants from 9th grades, 46 people from 10th grades and 41 students from 11th grades. The entire staff of the Faculty of Higher Mathematics Department and 9 students of the Faculty of Finance, Logistics and Digital Technologies were involved in this event. The order of the event is as follows: registration in the hall of the university, a tour of the university, the opening of the Olympiad in the SCP, writing works in the flow classrooms 100, 101, 102.

Moscow University named after S.Yu. Witte is a strategic partner of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The main areas of international cooperation: academic mobility of students, the introduction of joint educational programs, round tables, etc.
As part of the implementation of international cooperation with the Witte Moscow University, a joint round table on the topic "Distance learning: opportunities and limitations" was held on March 27, 2023.

This event served as a dialogue platform for a comprehensive and broad discussion of topical issues of distance learning organization in Kazakhstan and in Russia.
Based on the results of the scientific event, a resolution and recommendations were adopted.
On March 31, 2023, a preliminary selection of student projects was organized and conducted in the educational center of the library of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz by the staff of the EPI Research Institute and responsible for the Technological Business Incubator «Coworking Center «Dostyk». This event is timed to coincide with the annual International Gathering of Students, which will be held on April 14, 2023.
The members of the commission evaluated the presented presentations of student projects according to the following criteria: the novelty of the project idea, the clarity of the goal and task, the quality of marketing research and financial and economic calculations, risk assessment, the level of use of software products, etc. Recommendations and suggestions for improving their quality were given for each project.
On March 30, the beauty contest "Miss KPS University 2023" was held at the Palace of Culture of Students of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
The annual major event was held at the walls of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz "Miss KPS University 2023", which was attended by 9 beauties from different faculties.
The contestants competed in five rounds.
The first is a business card in which the participants presented their videos, with a brief story about themselves and their talents.
In the second round, they demonstrated a business style.
The third round is an intellectual competition.
The contest showed that girls can shine not only with their beauty.
The fourth and brightest round is a creative competition. Each number was unpredictable and aroused the audience's special interest and loud reaction.
The fifth round, as in any beauty contest, is a graceful fashion show. This tour especially emphasized the beauty of the participants. The girls walked around the stage as if on a catwalk in beautiful dresses.
The sponsors of the event and members of the jury were the well-known beauty and leisure industry networks "KRASOTA.KRG", "Lova-Lova", "Brilliance", "Ospanova Event Group", "Only You", "Letta Production", "Lampoch_krg", "Sova dance bar", "Imanova_beauty.salon” and "Sava media".
As a result of all rounds of the competition, the jury determined the winners. The title "Miss KPS University 2023" was won by Kamila Abisheva, a second-year student of the Faculty of Business, Law and Technology. "Vice-Miss" was Aruzhan Sadykova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship. The audience prize rightfully went to Elizaveta Kondratyuk, a second-year student of the Faculty of Finance, Logistics and Digital Technologies.
None of the contestants remained without the attention of the jury and fans. They were awarded in the nominations "Miss Charm", "Miss Business Style", "Miss Intelligence", "Miss Talent", "Miss Creativity", "Miss Smile" and "Miss Grace", as well as ovations and flowers from the enthusiastic audience.
On March 28, 2023, Rector of the University Aimagambetov Yerkara Balkaraevich and Head of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs in Ulytau region Akhmetov Berik Mukhamedzhanovich signed a memorandum of cooperation. The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen and develop cooperation in the field of personnel training for state bodies of the Ulytau region. The most important elements of cooperation are practical training in government organizations, organization of scientific seminars, master classes and conferences.
Representatives of the Department met with our students after the end of the solemn part of the signing of the memorandum.

Kerimbekova Asyl Bazarbekovna – Ulytau regional territorial Inspection of the State Inspection Committee in the Agro-industrial complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting discussed issues of admission to the school of civil servants, selection for public service, probation, career advancement (the principle of meritocracy), as well as a new remuneration system based on a factor-point scale.
The main purpose of such meetings is to attract active and responsible young people to the civil service, who are able to offer fresh ideas and new approaches to solving the tasks facing the state.
From March 16 to 17, 2023, the regional scientific and practical conference of undergraduates and students "Buketov readings-2023" was held at the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. The purpose of the conference is to discuss topical problems of natural science, humanities, pedagogical, social and social sciences.
Directions of the conference:
- Topical issues of natural science;
- Actual problems of the humanities;
- Problems of social and pedagogical sciences;
- Current issues of economics and law.
Students of our university also took part in the conference under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Socio-Political Disciplines and the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. They made presentations on the topic:
"Problems of the origin of language" - Angelina Gadyukova, PiMO-21-2;
"Political conflicts between Venezuela and Brazil" - Abdashim Symbat, MO-22-1k;
"The Case-study method" - Syzdykov Temirlan, UA-22-2.

On March 14-17, 2023, a regional seminar on the development of a cooperative bachelor's degree program "Logistics in the food industry" within the framework of GIZ PECA was held in Andijan (Uzbekistan).
The international project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH "Professional education for economic growth sectors in Central Asia" (English PECA) promotes the modernization of professional education in Central Asia on the example of the food industry and logistics.
The project is being implemented in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, whose delagations were presented at a regional seminar.
The seminar was attended by representatives of GIZ PECA - Gulnara Rakhmatullayeva, the head of the ICON expert team -Herman Sonneveld, ICON experts - Professor Frank Gillert, Frank Neumann.
Teachers of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz participated from Kazakhstan: Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Yesenbayeva G.A. - Head of the Department of Commodity Science and Certification; Candidate of Economics Mazhitova S.K. – Head of Department of Marketing and Logistics; Master's degree, Department of Marketing and Logistics senior teacher Shakhshina A.K., as well as a practical worker, Chief technologist for Natige company Isataeva R.B.
The delegations of partner universities (Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev, Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, Tajik Technical University named after Osimi) mutually familiarized themselves with the draft curricula of the educational program "Logistics"; shared their experience in the development of the specialty, identified differences in regulations in the field of higher professional education; identified common steps to create the basis for the consistent development of a cooperative bachelor's degree program, as well as subsequent preparation for accreditation for all partner universities.
