On March 14-17, 2023, a regional seminar on the development of a cooperative bachelor's degree program "Logistics in the food industry" within the framework of GIZ PECA was held in Andijan (Uzbekistan).
The international project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH "Professional education for economic growth sectors in Central Asia" (English PECA) promotes the modernization of professional education in Central Asia on the example of the food industry and logistics.
The project is being implemented in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, whose delagations were presented at a regional seminar.
The seminar was attended by representatives of GIZ PECA - Gulnara Rakhmatullayeva, the head of the ICON expert team -Herman Sonneveld, ICON experts - Professor Frank Gillert, Frank Neumann.
Teachers of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz participated from Kazakhstan: Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Yesenbayeva G.A. - Head of the Department of Commodity Science and Certification; Candidate of Economics Mazhitova S.K. – Head of Department of Marketing and Logistics; Master's degree, Department of Marketing and Logistics senior teacher Shakhshina A.K., as well as a practical worker, Chief technologist for Natige company Isataeva R.B.
The delegations of partner universities (Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Osh Technological University named after M.M. Adyshev, Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, Tajik Technical University named after Osimi) mutually familiarized themselves with the draft curricula of the educational program "Logistics"; shared their experience in the development of the specialty, identified differences in regulations in the field of higher professional education; identified common steps to create the basis for the consistent development of a cooperative bachelor's degree program, as well as subsequent preparation for accreditation for all partner universities.
On March 16, 2023, a master class on the topic "Rules and features of writing a scientific article that meets academic requirements" was held at the university in the Dostyk coworking center. The master class was attended by students, undergraduates, members of the scientific and student communities of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
Master's degree, lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work, member of the Council of Young Scientists and Students Isaev Aituar Aitymovich presented the Methodology of work on the section of the scientific article, the criteria for the success of its writing. He also introduced the students to the rules of building a scientific publication and the main features of the scientific style.
During the master class, students learned what is the difference between a scientific article from other types of scientific papers, its goals and objectives, as well as in which sources it is best to look for information. We hope that the knowledge gained at this event will help young researchers to successfully write a scientific article in domestic and foreign publications.
On February 28, 2023, Astana hosted the awarding ceremony of the winners of the annual republican contest "The Best University Teacher". The Commission of the republican competition evaluated such indicators as the development and publication of electronic educational resources, educational materials, scientific publications in domestic and international journals, the quality of teaching and the professionalism of teachers in the training of young professionals.
In 2022, 775 teachers from 71 universities of the country took part in the competition. The winners of the competition were 150 teachers from 43 Kazakhstani universities. Each of them received a reward of 2000 MCI, and the teachers were awarded badges.

According to the Order of the Chairman of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 32 dated January 26, 2023, Oksana Bezler, senior lecturer of the Department of Business Economics, was awarded the title of Doctor of PhD in the specialty 6D050600 "Economics". For the first time, our university has issued a doctorate diploma of its own sample.

An interesting and productive meeting was held on March 9, 2023 by the commercial director of TM "Hani" Syzdykov Sairan with students of the 2,3 and 4 courses of the educational program "Marketing".
How marketers work in modern conditions, what skills you need to have in order to make a profit for the company and be recognizable among customers, and many other things were told by the invited guest.
Students were invited to practice with further employment.
Natalia Abramova, Director of the Brain agency Marketing Agency, revealed a relevant and interesting topic to students of the educational specialty «Marketing» at a meeting on March 16, 2023.
How to create trading offers based on neuromarketing, the psychology of sales, the development of promotions and discounts – this is just not much that Natalia Abramova told about. To obtain practical skills and abilities, students were offered available vacancies and internship after graduation.
On March 10, 2023, in a friendly atmosphere within the walls of our university, a regional subject Olympiad was held among students of legal specialties of the universities of the city of Karaganda, in the discipline "Civil Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan"
The purpose of the Olympiad is to develop professional competencies, increase the level of legal culture and literacy of students of legal specialties.

On February 28, 2023, the festival "Memlekettik til - menin tilim" was held at the University of Karaganda among students of universities and colleges of the city. The purpose of the festival is to increase the status of the state language, stimulate students who speak the state language, an example for the general public, youth, establish close ties between universities and present the potential and achievements of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz to students of other educational institutions. The event was attended by teams of students from the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the University named after E.A. Buketov, KarTU named after. A.Saginov, Karaganda Academy named after. B.Beisenov, College of Economics, Business and Law of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
During the festival, teams from representatives of different nationalities presented themselves in the state language, presented various, interesting scenes in the Kazakh language, sang songs, answered questions, showed a high level of knowledge of the state language. A graduate of the university, a young singer Ulangasyr Kamiyev, acted as a special guest of the event.
According to the results of the festival, the team "Zhalyndy Zhastar" of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took 1st place, the team "Sagynov sunkarlary" of the Karaganda Technical University named after A.Saginov took 2nd place, the team "Aybindy kursanttar" of the Karaganda Academy named after B.Beisenov took 3rd place and were awarded special cash prizes and diplomas.
Technological business incubator «Coworking Center «Dostyk» and Research Institute of EPI of Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz on March 06, 2023 organized a meeting of second and first year students with event manager «IT-Hub Terricon Valley» Lunko Maxim Evgenievich on the topic: «The Terricon Valley, as a launching pad for students».
During the Master class, Maxim Evgenievich told how MGU students would like to participate in various events organized by the «IT-Hub Terricon Valley». During the meeting, Maxim Evgenievich said that free events are regularly held in the IT hub: lectures, meetups, courses, training programs for startups and entrepreneurs. For students, it is an opportunity to make useful acquaintances and develop their business. «IT-Hub Terricon Valley» is an ecosystem that promotes the development of IT and Digital spheres through the training of beginners and experienced specialists.
The students expressed their gratitude for the information provided during the meeting, which turned out to be very informative and fascinating, and expressed their wishes for further cooperation.
On March 02, 2023, the university hosted a meeting of representatives of the Karaganda city Police Department of the Karaganda region with students of the educational programs "Jurisprudence" and "Judicial law Enforcement".
Employees of the Department of Personnel Policy of the Administrative Department of the city of Karaganda announced the recruitment of candidates for service in the internal affairs bodies, answered all questions about employment in the police.
During the meeting, the tasks, competencies and powers of the internal affairs bodies were also noted, as well as the advantages of service:
- initial training and advanced training at the expense of the employer;
- stable and timely salary with an increase in the size of the official salary depending on the length of service and special rank;
- health improvement benefits, career growth;
- free medical care in departmental medical institutions.
The students received good advice, signed up for testing electronically through the egov e-government portal, and received a list of necessary documents for candidates for ordinary and medium-sized positions.
Employment of graduates is a significant criterion for evaluating the work of any university. Therefore, the organization of such meetings with potential employers is very important.
