
Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz is positioned in the region as a university open to innovation and cooperation, in which the professional and personal growth of future specialists is given great importance. Therefore, the Festival of transformational psychological games "Guide to Yourself" organized by the VIP Vocational Training Center was held within the walls of our university, which acted as the general partner of this event.
On June 10-11, 2023, representatives of the psychological community of Kazakhstan, coaches from business structures, practicing psychologists, held master classes on mastering modern psychological practices of conducting transformational games, introduced about forty transformational games with participants, including teachers and students of educational programs "Psychology and Management in Education" and "Social Work" to the relevant tools of self-knowledge and self-development, conducted by fifteen igropractors and masters, specialists of various supporting professions from Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Moscow.
Organizational issues of the Festival, as noted by the organizers and participants, were promptly and at a high level resolved by the staff of the Chair of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work and volunteer students – future psychologists and social workers. The experience that our students have received is unique both in terms of content and format of the event.

On May 30, 2023, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the republican forum "Development of the psychological service of the University of the Republic of Kazakhstan", which was held in Almaty.
The forum was held on the basis of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, was organized by the sector "Psychological Service".
The forum was attended by more than 80 psychologists, faculty and vice-rectors from 58 universities from all over the republic.
On behalf of our university, the lecturer of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work Isaev Aituar Aitymovich took part in this forum.
In the first part of the event, an educational training was held by associate professor, Associate Professor of Psychological Sciences, PhD - Manshuk Askarovna on the topic "Prospects for the development and integration of psychological services".
Also at this forum, a psychological notebook "Get inspired" was presented, compiled by psychologists of KazNPU. Abaya is specially for students.
The participants were awarded certificates following the results of the forum.
On June 6, 2023, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz participated in a online meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of RSE "KazStandard", "National Center for Accreditation", Departments of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic Kazakhstan, JSC "National Center for Expertise and Certification" with universities providing training in the field of standardization, certification and metrology. Together with the Department of Commodity Science and Certification, the experience and problems of implementing educational programs, the possibility of further cooperation and increasing the rating and prestige of educational programs in standardization, metrology and certification were discussed.
We thank the organizers for an interesting and useful event, openness to cooperation, readiness to assist in the education of our students and graduates.

On June 1, 2023, the TimesHigherEducation (THE) rating agency published the global world rating «ImpactRankings 2023», which measures the level of influence of universities on the sustainable development of society and contribution to the achievement of the SDGs. The ranking includes more than 1,500 universities from 112 countries, including 15 Kazakhstani universities.
This year, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz entered the top six among Kazakhstani universities participating in the rating, retaining the position of the top 1001+.
In 2023, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz was ranked for the following goals:
- goal 3 «Good health and well-being» (the best in the world -801+);
- goal 4 «Quality Education» (World Top -801+);
- goal 5 «Gender Equality» (top 401+in the world);
- goal 8 «Decent Work and economic growth» (top 401 + in the world);

- goal 17 «Partnership to achieve goals» (top -1001+in the world).
This was made possible, in particular, thanks to the improvement of the activities of departments and structural divisions of Karaganda University in Kazpotrebsoyuz and the contribution of the university to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The university must constantly ask itself questions: who we teach, how we teach and what, what set of competencies a graduate should have. They cannot be answered once and for all due to the variability of the world. On the other hand, the system of the basic part of education is undergoing a transfor-mation in general. Now higher education institutions have time to put together their own vision, formats and models, taking into account the Concept of the development of higher education and science, to determine what is right for us.
In May, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted a series of strategic design and analytical sessions to discuss the transformation of the ed-ucational process aimed at finding relevant formats, forms and content of modern higher and postgraduate education.
This is the approach chosen in order to involve a large number of interest-ed parties. The structure of each session is the work of several focus groups, which are formed selectively by random process. In total, more than 30 people from among the members of the Rector's Office, teaching staff, heads of admin-istrative services took part in the sessions on each of the priority areas.
Based on the results of the sessions, it is planned to conduct a survey of all interested parties and form a New program for the development of the uni-versity, which will be submitted for approval by the Academic Council by Au-gust 2023.

Anti-Corruption Service for the Karaganda region together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after. B. Beisenova and Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz organized a debate tournament among the universities of the Karaganda region.
The purpose of the tournament is to promote an anti-corruption culture and rejection of corruption among the youth, the formation of integrity and honesty among young people.
Tournament objectives:
- Development of critical and analytical thinking, decision-making skills in a limited time;
- Development of communicative and managerial competence of the participants, their leadership and organizational skills;
- Formation of public initiative, personal activity and interested citizenship;
- Involvement of young people in the discussion of various youth problems.
The winners in the debates were determined by the judging team.
According to the results of the game, the team of our university took the honorable first place. The team included: students of FEUP - Vilkalylite Ellona, Shushmarkin Evgeny.
The winners were awarded diplomas and a cup of the head of the Anti-Corruption Service of the Karaganda region.

On May 16-17, 2023, the XIII International Championship of StartUp projects “Youth and Entrepreneurship-2023” was held, in which student teams from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took part.
Youth and entrepreneurship is a platform where young people with an active lifestyle meet, who present themselves and their projects in order to find employment, find an investor for their projects and the business community: businessmen, investors, business leaders, personnel workers, entrepreneurs in order to attract the best professionals for their business, search for new interesting ideas for business development.
According to the results of the championship in the nomination of the best StartUp-project in consumer cooperation, the project of the 3rd year students of the educational program "Project and Innovation Management" Rakhimgulov Islam, Bakhtyarov Aslan, as well as the 2nd year doctoral student Mikhail Stepanov, under the supervisor Ph.D. , professors of the department "Management and Innovations" Legostaeva Anna Anatolyevna were awarded a diploma of the 1st degree.

In the period from May 16 to May 19, 2023, employees of the Career and Vocational Education Center of the JEM took part in the hybrid conference "A New Look at career in a rapidly changing world", organized by Nazarbayev University and the Asia-Pacific Career Development Association (APCDA). The APCDA conference is an ideal platform for networking, exchange of experience and search for new resources, it was attended by delegates from 10 different countries and regions of the world.
The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, in his speech outlined key priorities in the field of higher education, such as the creation of a regional hub of academic mobility in Kazakhstan in 2023-2029 by opening branches of leading foreign universities, he also spoke about the Atlas of new professions and competencies of Kazakhstan.
The speakers of the conference were heads of international career centers and well-known experts in the field of professional orientation:
1. Momoko Osaka (Japan) – President of APCDA, CEO of Veriteworks;
2. Shigeo Katsu (Kazakhstan) – President of Nazarbayev University since the foundation of the University in 2010;
3. Sayasat Nurbek (Kazakhstan) – Minister of Science and Higher Education, National expert on Education;
4. Dr. Tristam Hooley (Great Britain) – Professor at the University of Applied Sciences of Norway and the International Center for Orientation Studies at the University of Derby;

The speakers paid special attention to the trends of the future, the demystification of artificial intelligence related to career development, green trends, career navigation in the field of sustainable development, and the spread of the chat bot ChatGPT.

The first graduates of the innovative educational program 6B03102 «Psychology and Management in Education» - full-time students with the use of distance learning technologies forms of education successfully passed the final certification at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.
The students successfully defended their theses on topical psychological problems in the social sphere, including those commissioned by health and education organizations, the center for psychological assistance. The final attestation commission highly appreciated the quality of the research performed, their practical significance, the knowledge and skills of graduates needed in their "understanding" profession.

At the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, an intellectual game “OiLan” was held among students of the Karaganda region. The intellectual game "OiLan" was held as part of the implementation of the Concept of the State Youth Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029.
The goal of the state youth policy is to create conditions for the full-fledged spiritual, cultural, educational, professional and physical development of young people, participation in the decision-making process, successful socialization and the direction of its potential for the further development of the country.
The intellectual game "OiLan" was held in 5 rounds. Each round consisted of questions about the history and culture of Kazakhstan, as well as logic and intelligence. The main task in the game was to educate and respect for the past of the Motherland, for the customs and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan. According to the results of the game, the team of A. Saginov Karaganda Technical University took the honorable first place.
