On April 7-9, 2022, a hackathon "Insight-2022" was held at the Karaganda Technical University among students and undergraduates of the IT specialty of the universities of the Karaganda region.
In total, 16 teams from 5 universities of the region were formed at the hackathon. The most successful projects were those that could potentially expand the company's product line and services. These ideas had to be supported by concrete research results.
The participating teams had to offer specific solutions after analyzing the data provided for them by representatives of the IT company: ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC, EPAM SYSTEMS, X-Net, KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA LLP, Qazdevelop LLP, WOOPPAY LLP.
According to the results of the hackathon, the team of our university consisting of students of the group gr. IS-20-2 Amirkul N.A., Balmakaev T.M., as well as a graduate student of the group F-21-1 NP Zhanbekov A. took 2nd place.

On April 11-12, 2022, the Technological business incubator "Coworking Center Dostyk" organized the 1st stage (preliminary defense) of the Competition of ready-made business projects and start-up projects and designed business ideas of students "INNOVATIVE PROJECTS: A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE".
The jury of the competition included:
- Talgat Akhmatzievich Khanov – Doctor of Law, Professor, Director of the Research Institute of Economic and Legal Studies of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz
- Satymbekova Saida Bazarbaevna - Master of Information Systems, Lecturer of the Department of Digital Engineering and IT Analytics of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz
- Kalieva Gauhar Keneskhanovna – Master of Economics, Faculty of Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship
- Eleubekova Nazgul Eleubekovna - Master of Law, Faculty of Business, Law and Technology.
30 projects out of 40 were admitted to preliminary protection.
After the speech of the startups, a discussion took place, specific recommendations were given. Based on the results of the preliminary defense, it was decided to recommend 15 projects for defense in the final.
On April 11, 2022, the Technological business incubator "Dostyk Coworking Center" organized a meetup on the topic "What you need to do to become a successful businessman" with the participation of the technical director of BI STROY LLP, entrepreneur Daniyaruly Miras.
Miras shared the popular misconceptions that start-up entrepreneurs have, and gave the following tips to students who want to build their own business:
1. Find an idea that will be really useful to the client, and therefore in demand in the market: only then will it be profitable. However, you do not need to take up a case that you do not like, no matter how tempting it may be. The activity should be exciting for the business owner, should motivate, bring satisfaction.
2. Eliminate the lack of confidence in their abilities, perceive the level of profits as an indicator of their skills, entrepreneurial talents, responsibility. Profits are growing, so you are developing, despite the inevitable mistakes.
3. Learn how to quickly analyze changes in conditions and make a forecast for the required period.
4. Understand that profits are not a goal, but a means. Otherwise, you will inevitably slide into aimless hoarding. But at the same time, it is necessary to learn how to invest money with minimal risk, having a backup plan in case of an unsuccessful investment.
5. Do not try to avoid mistakes by all means, it is impossible. It is much more productive to consider each failure as a necessary experience, discuss failures with the team, and draw conclusions.
6. Develop communication skills, build relationships with partners, subordinates, clients.
At the end of the meeting, Daniyaruly Miras thanked the participants and answered their questions.
On April 09-10, 2022, an Open republican debate tournament "Erkin Urpaq" with a prize fund of 300,000 tenge was held on the basis of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The format of the tournament was for the Kazakh league – British Parliamentary and Lincoln-Douglas formats, the Russian League – American Parliamentary format. The tournament was held jointly with the KSU "Youth Resource Center" of the city of Karaganda, the NGO "Citizens of Kazakhstan", the Representative Office of the NGO "Assembly of Zhastary" in the Karaganda region.
More than 120 participants from universities and colleges of Kazakhstan took part in the tournament. According to the results of the tournament , the prizes were taken:

Chief researcher of the laboratory of the ELS Research Institute of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Doctor of Law, Professor Shaimukhanov Akhmetkali Dyusetaevich. conducted a scientific seminar for the teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students on the topic "The role of legal science in modern society". The scientific seminar was held on April 12, 2022 at the Technological Business Incubator "Dostyk Coworking Center".
The scientific seminar is dedicated to the development of legal science, as well as to increasing its role in public life. The issues of interaction of economic and legal sciences, their interrelation and interdependence were considered. The modern content of legal science, its practical, theoretical and methodological foundations are considered.

Zhanar Kaiyr, at the invitation of Guldana Karzhasova, Associate Professor of the OLSD Department of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, gave a lecture for 2nd year students of the “Juristprudence” group.
During the lecture, students were explained about the concepts, features and legal status of the civil service and entry into the civil service, and also shared her practical experience in the civil service.

In order to prevent stress and develop a person's stress resistance, on April 7, 2022, a university psychologist Temirkhanova G.U. a practical lesson on the topic "Technologies of resistance to stress" was held for students and university staff. The purpose of the lesson was to identify the stage of stress, causes and types of stress, practical methods for the elimination and prevention of stress, prevention of psycho-emotional health of the individual.
At the end of the lesson, students asked questions about the topic. Discussed methods of ecological way out of stress.
The chief researcher of the laboratory of the EPI Research Institute of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Doctor of Economics, Professor Sikhimbayeva D.R. held a scientific seminar for teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students with the participation of Russian scientists on the topic "MODERNIZATION OF UNIVERSITY SCIENCE IN KAZAKHSTAN". The scientific seminar was held on April 8, 2022 at 15-10h, room 287.
The scientific seminar is devoted to the analysis of university science in Kazakhstan and the prospects for its development. The ways of development of Kazakh science and the possibility of activating the participation of young scientists, teachers, students, undergraduates and doctoral students in grant research and scientific activities are considered.
On April 7, 2022, the Department of Psychology, pedagogy and social work organized an online lecture by Regina Gazizova, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychological and Pedagogical Education of the Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University. The long-term experience of cooperation with this university was limited to the research work of teachers and students. But now, in connection with the training of psychologists at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, the framework of cooperation and interaction is significantly expanding. The experience of the Russian university in the training of practical psychologists is diverse and very useful, and the 1st year students of the OP "Psychology and Management in Education" were convinced of this.
Especially interesting are modern psychotechnics and technologies in working with clients, their advantages and limitations, spheres of influence and specifics of application. R.R. Gazizova told future psychologists about the use of metaphorical associative maps in the work of a practical psychologist in her lecture. It was an informative, interactive and informative meeting. Students and teachers asked a lot of interesting questions, expressed gratitude to Ph.D., Associate Professor Regina Rasikhovna Gazizova for a meaningful meeting and cooperation.

Sikhimbayev held a scientific seminar on the topic: "Tendencies in the development of science in Kazakhstan". The scientific seminar was held on April 7, 2022 for faculty, undergraduates and doctoral students with the participation of Russian scientists.
The scientific seminar was devoted to the analysis of prerequisites and potential opportunities of Kazakh science for the development of the trinity: science - education – production. Meanwhile materials on the activity of the enterprise for the production of scientific products, SWOT analysis of Kazakh science and prospects for its development within the framework of accepted trends in the development of science were presented.
