New opportunities of the «Education without borders»

On plenary session of the IX Education Week of member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization under the motto "Education Without Borders" were determined basic work thesis of the SCO University in the forthcoming study year.
During the day, delegates from five countries, including Kazakhstan, combined with the activities of the network University, analyzed the work of Cooperation Organizations' direction groups, identified strengths and weaknesses, and sought for solutions to existing problems.
Assessing the trends in the development of SCOU, chairman of the Council of Rectors of the SCO University, rector of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University Vladimir Filippov particularly stressed that the main aspect of the organization is the quality of education, which can be improved only through joint efforts.

On May 19 the Head of the Department "Finance, Taxation and Insurance" d.e.sc., professor A.K. Sembekov took part in the XII Summit of the Council of the Islamic Financial Services (IFSB), which was held in Almaty on 19-21 May 2015.
The Summit focused on the following issues:
1) "Kazakhstan - Islamic financial hub" - deputy chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Nurlan Kusainov.
2) "The Formation of Islamic finance in emerging markets. The experience of Kazakhstan» - CEO of the Islamic Bank Al-Hilal Prasad Abraham.
3) "Regional experience RBIs in Kazakhstan" - regional representative, CIS & Europe, Samir Tagiyev.
4) "Takaful in Kazakhstan - Prospects and Challenges" - founder and CEO of Takaful Kazakhstan, Kuralaj Eldisbay.
5) "Prospects of development of Islamic microfinance in Kazakhstan" - the founder and CEO, New Finance, Timur Alimov.
6) "The training of qualified personnel for the Islamic financial sector of Kazakhstan" - the chairman of the Association of Islamic finance, Zaratkazy Nurpeisov.
This summit is held annually with the support of the central banks of the Member States. It was attended by over 300 delegates from more than 35 countries, among them - senior officials from regulatory and supervisory authorities, international financial institutions, financial market participants, representatives of science and education.

Round table for students, undergraduates and teachers on the theme: "Prospects of development of the national system of Kazakhstan in conditions of institutional reforms to ensure the rule of law"

On May 29, 2015 The Research Institute of Economic and Legal Researches led by prorector for scientific research d.e., professor A.A. Taubaev and moderator d.l., docent T.A. Khanov held a round table for the students, undergraduates and teachers on the theme: "Prospects of development of the national system of Kazakhstan in the conditions of implementation of institutional reforms to ensure the rule of law".

C.e.sc., docent of the FTI department Ulakov N.S. participated in the international training on Islamic financing (Almaty)

On 1 of June 2015 c.e.sc., docent of the FTI department Ulakov N.S. took part in the International training conducted by the National Bank jointly with the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia) with the support of the Islamic Research and Training Institute (Islamic Research and Training Institute) for the teachers of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.
This training was held at the Library of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and was aimed at increasing the level of skills and professionalism in the field of Islamic banking, insurance, securities market, as well as allowed to study the question of investing in the Islamic countries with the state support of Islamic finance. The training was conducted in an interactive manner with the presentation of the theory, discussion of questions and practical examples in this direction.
