On September 22, 2022, a meeting was held between representatives of QazTehna LLP and Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. During the meeting, issues in the field of education, joint research and projects, professional practice of students, development of a Roadmap for the development of further cooperation were discussed.
On September 21, 2022, an international expert, coordinator of regional projects funded by the German Ministry of Economy and Development (BMZ), Director of the Association of Schools of Social Work of Tajikistan, Doctor of Economics, Professor S.B. Ashurov and co-founder of the Association of Schools of Social Work in Kazakhstan G.S. Zhanaeva visited.
Integration into the global educational space, cooperation of higher education with external stakeholders is a requirement of the day. Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz sets an ambitious goal – to become part of the International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW). The first step has been taken – a decision has been made to join the Association of Schools of Social Work in Kazakhstan, the founders of which are the NGO “National Alliance of Professional Social Workers” represented by Director D.G. Yessimova and LLP “Kazakhstan Swiss-American College” represented by Director G.S. Zhanaeva.
During the visit, meetings were held with the Rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Aimagambetov E.B., Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Strategic Development, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Abeuova S.T. and the teaching staff of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogy and Social Work. The issues of joining the Association of Schools of Social Work in Kazakhstan were discussed.
Doctor of Economics, Professor S.B. Ashurov gave a “platinum” lecture on the topic “Formation of an inclusive society in the context of solving the problems of people with disabilities”. for students of the educational programs “Social work” and “Psychology and management in education”
The tour of the university organized for the guests, the presentation of the advanced material and technical base of the university, made it possible to specify the main areas of cooperation in the near future.
