The University staff took an active part in the round table on youth employment in KaragandaOn June 24, 2024, employees of the Career and Professional Development Center of our university took part in an event organized by the Center for Labor Mobility in the Karaganda region. The round table actively discussed key issues of employment of young people who have lost or remained without parental care until adulthood. It was a great opportunity to share experiences, listen to expert opinions and contribute to the development of graduates' career prospects.

This is an important initiative aimed at supporting young people in difficult life situations. The round table discussed mechanisms of integration into society, educational and employment opportunities, as well as support from government and public organizations.

The Center for Labor Mobility in the Karaganda region presented the following programs to the participants of the round table:

"Youth practice" - work to gain initial professional experience;

The Generational Contract is a workplace that is created to transfer accumulated experience from existing employees of pre–retirement age to graduates of colleges and universities.

"First workplace" is a job for gaining experience at the first workplace for young people without professional education

"Community service" is a socially useful job that does not require professional education for schoolchildren and students over the age of 16 during the holidays

We are confident that such events contribute to the formation of a successful career for our students, help them find the best options for professional development. Visit of the National Erasmus+ Office’s Coordinator

On June 18, 2024, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan Laura Paluanova visited the Kazpotrebsoyuz University.

In the framework of the visit there was a meeting with the top management of the university. In addition, Laura Paluanova held an information session for the faculty members of the university. During the session participants discussed recommendations for preparing competitive project applications and implementing existing projects within the Erasmus+ program.

It is worth noting that Kazpotrebsoyuz University is a leading HEI in Kazakhstan for successful Jean Monnet project applications. Currently, among ongoing international projects there are Jean Monnet Module “European practice of sustainable development management towards green transformation” (EPOS), Jean Monnet Module “The European Union migration policy” (EUMP), and Jean Monnet Module “Modern eco-technologies of sustainable development: the experience of the EU and Kazakhstan” (METOD). In addition, we participate in the implementation of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education projects “Development of a Master Programme in the Management of Industrial Entrepreneurship for Transition Countries” (MIETC) and “Development of Innovative Curricula and Modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development” (CirculEC).

Advanced training courses  "Marketing and Mass Media" have been completed

In the period from May 24 to May 31, intensive refresher courses on the topic "Marketing and mass media" were held at the university for employees of the KSU "Centralized Library System of Karaganda".

The development of digital technologies and the Internet, openness and accessibility of information lead to the fact that companies must be ready to adapt their marketing strategies and use a variety of media channels to reach the target audience.

It was a unique opportunity for the librarians of our city to enrich their knowledge and skills in the field of marketing and promotion through the media.

The lecturers of the course were Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing and Logistics Igisinova Sh.S. and Director of the Center for Educational Television of the University Abdykeeva M.Zh.

The librarians of the city of Karaganda have acquired valuable tools and knowledge that will help them make library services even more accessible and attractive to our residents. "Now we are ready to implement new marketing strategies, promote our services in the media and attract more people to reading and education," the audience noted.

The course "Marketing and Mass Media" is relevant and in demand for those who seek to develop in the field of marketing and master modern methods of promoting products and services through media channels.

Memorial Day for Victims of Political Repression

The Day of Political Repression is one of the tragic pages of the history of Kazakhstan. Over the past 10 years, archives have been opened that allow us to find out the exact number of repressed people, in what conditions they were held, what laws restricted them and from the standpoint of humanity and humanism. On the eve of this day, the Department of Socio – Political Disciplines and the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan organized a round table.

The round table was attended by Vice-Rector for Social Affairs of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz Almaz Sabitovich Orynbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda region, Professor of Karaganda Medical University Vilen Borisovich Molotov-Luchansky, Representative of the Chechen-Ingush Ethnocultural Association "Vainakh" Chairman of the Council of Elders Isakiev Sulim Isakievich, teachers of the Department of Socio-Political Disciplines and Assemblies of the People of Kazakhstan" Smagulov Saken Gazizovich and Aldabayeva Guldana Tleukabilovna.

The results of this round table will become the basis for further actions towards preserving the memory of the victims of political repression and preventing similar events in the future.

"Anti-corruption strategies: ways and solutions"

On May 22, 2024, in the Anti-Corruption Coworking Center of Karaganda Kazpotrebsoyuz University, together with employees of the Anti-Corruption Service Department, a seminar was held on the topic "Implementation of the anti-corruption concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026" for the teaching staff and students of the university.

The seminar was attended by highly qualified specialists from the Anti-Corruption Service Department, who shared their knowledge, experience and vision of the most relevant aspects of the fight against corruption in our country. The speaker was a public figure, speaker of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokatov Ruslan Altayevich.

The seminar participants had a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of modern anti-corruption strategies and methods, as well as to discuss practical aspects of the implementation of anti-corruption policy.

We thank all participants of the seminar for their active participation and valuable contribution to the discussion of this important topic! The future of our society depends on each of us, and joint efforts become the key to building a transparent and honest society.
