London Professor’s seminar

Seminar for multilingual teachers, PhD students, master’s students and students of KEUK on the theme “Critical Thinking in the University teaching process” was organized by Multilingual Education Centre on April 24, 2017. The seminar was conducted by Director of International Business Development Program, Senior Lecturer of Strategic and Operation Management, Critical Thinking and MBA at Brunel University (London, Great Britain), PhD Abraham Althonayan in order to develop a multilingual education in the framework of international cooperation with Brunel University. Professor Althonayan noted that he was “very impressed with the level of English language proficiency of the audience”.

Online student international scientific conference with the Astrakhan State Architectural and Construction University on the theme "Information Technologies and Logistic Processes in the Conditions of Modernizing the National Economy"

On April 27, 2017, the chair of Information and Computer Systems and Astrakhan State Architectural and Construction University conducted an online student international scientific conference on "Information Technologies and Logistic Processes in the Conditions of Modernizing the National Economy". Students of the specialties "Information systems" and "Computer equipment and software" of KEUK made presentations on topical issues in the field of information technologies, and also discussed the main directions of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness."

The Chair "Information and Computing Systems" held a round table on the topic "Religious extremism: myth or reality?" With the participation of the head of the Department of the Department of Religious Affairs of the Karaganda Region, S.K. Tlekbaev.
Terrorism and extremism at present in its scale, consequences, intensity, destructive force, in its inhumanity and cruelty turned into a terrible problem for all mankind. The latest tragic events associated with terrorist attacks in various countries of the world, with all evidence this proves. In his speech Tlekbaev SK. Spoke about what measures the state is taking to ensure the safety of the population, the rules for safe behavior in the event of the threat of a terrorist act, if an explosive device is found. He also disclosed the reasons for the emergence and spread of religious extremism, the forms of its manifestation, and explained the peculiarities of religious public associations functioning in Kazakhstan.
Participants of the round table noted the need to intensify the process of searching for effective mechanisms for educating young people in a spirit of tolerance, respectful attitude to any person, regardless of their nationality, religion.

Annually students of the Department "Tourism and RD" participate in the Republican Olympiads on specialties. In the period from 19 to 20 April 2017, the Karaganda state University. E. A. Buketov was held the IX Republican student subject Olympiad on tourism. The team of our University: Aldangarov Kazbek Tour 42, Kaliyev Madi Tour 42, Rakhimbekov Ablaikhan Tour 32, Tuyakova Ayaulym Tour 21K, under the guidance of lecturer Garipova A. A. took the 3rd place. We congratulate our students and wish them further creative success!
